Dawes appointed as India's new bowling coach

Written By Ambalal Solanki on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 | 9:20 AM

Well recently BCCI has announced that Australian Joe Dawes will be the India's new bowling coach after the tour of Australia.

Dawes is a former Queensland fast bowler who have played 76 1st class matches from 1997 to 2005. He has been bowling coach of Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League.

As BCCI has decided to relive Eric Simons from his job at the end of the ongoing tri series in Australia,

Simons has been associated with the Indian team since 2010 when he was roped in by then coach Gary Kirsten. Simons' contract expires at the end of the current tour Down Under.

As Eric Simons is also the bowling coach of Delhi Daredevils. So we can not say all is lost for simons.
